इंडिगो के सीईओ पीटर एल्बर्स को मंगलवार को विमानन मं मंत्रालय में तलब किया गया, जहां उन्होंने हालात को स्थिर करने के लिए किए जा रहे उपायों पर अपडेट दिया। सीईओ ने पुष्टि की है कि 6 दिसंबर तक प्रभावित उड़ानों के लिए 100% रिफंड की प्रक्रिया पूरी कर ली गई है। मंत्रालय ने शेष रिफंड और यात्रियों के फंसे हुए सामान को जल्द से जल्द सौंपने के सख्त निर्देश दिए हैं। इंडिगो को किराया सीमा और यात्री सुविधा उपायों सहित मंत्रालय के सभी निर्देशों का बिना किसी अपवाद के पालन करने को कहा गया है। नागर विमानन मंत्री के राममोहन नायडू ने अपने सोशल मीडिया हैंडल पर इसकी जानकारी दी।
मंत्रालय ने स्पष्ट किया है कि 10% की कटौती का उद्देश्य एयरलाइन के सिस्टम पर दबाव कम करना है ताकि जो भी उड़ानें शेड्यूल में रहें, वे समय पर और बिना रद्द हुए चल सकें। इंडिगो को यह सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि वह उच्च मांग वाले रूट्स पर भी संचालन को सुचारू रखे और किसी भी सेक्टर पर सेवा पूरी तरह बंद न करे।
डीजीसीए की ओर इंडिगो को जारी आधिकारिक नोटिस में कहा गया है कि विंटर शेड्यूल के तहत नवंबर 2025 के लिए एयरलाइन को प्रति सप्ताह 15,014 प्रस्थान और कुल 64,346 उड़ानों की मंजूरी दी गई थी। हालांकि, परिचालन आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि इंडिगो केवल 59,438 उड़ानें ही संचालित कर पाई। नवंबर में एयरलाइन की 951 उड़ानें रद्द की गईं।
नोटिस के अनुसार, इंडिगो को समर शेड्यूल 2025 की तुलना में विंटर शेड्यूल में 6% के इजाफे की अनुमति दी गई थी, इसके तहत 403 विमानों के उपयोग की मंजूरी थी। लेकिन एयरलाइन अक्तूबर 2025 में केवल 339 और नवंबर 2025 में 344 विमान ही संचालित कर सकी।

डीजीसीए ने कहा कि एयरलाइन ने 2024 की सर्दियों की तुलना में अपने प्रस्थान में 9.66% और इस वर्ष के गर्मियों के शेड्यूल की तुलना में 6.05% की वृद्धि की थी, लेकिन वह इस शेड्यूल का कुशलतापूर्वक संचालन नहीं कर सकी।
डीजीसीए ने अपने आदेश में कहा, “एयरलाइन को अपने शेड्यूल को 5% तक घटाने का निर्देश दिया जाता है, यह कटौती विशेष रूप से अधिक मांग और अधिक फेरों वाले उड़ानों में हो। साथ ही, इंडिगो को किसी रूट पर जारी एकल उड़ानों को बंद करने से बचना चाहिए।”

उधर, इंडिगो के सीईओ पीटर एल्बर्स ने कहा कि आपका एयरलाइन संकट के दौर के बाद एक बार फिर अपने पैरों पर खड़ा हो गया है। इंडिगो सीईओ ने वीडियो के जरिए बयान जारी कर कहा, “हम परेशानियों से गुजरे, यात्रियों को परेशानी हुई। इसके लिए हम माफी चाहते हैं। हवाई यात्रा की खुबसूरती यह है कि यह लोगों को, इमोशन और एंबीशन को साथ लाती है। हम जानते हैं कि आप अलग-अलग कारणों से यात्रा करने वाले थे, पर आप से हजारों ऐसा नहीं कर पाए। हम इसके लिए हृदय से क्षमाप्रार्थी हैं।
हम उड़ानों को रद्द करना नहीं टाल पाए। पर हम आपको आश्वस्त करना चाहते हैं कि हमारी पूरी इंडिगो टीम कड़ी मेहनत कर रही है। सबसे पहले हमारी प्राथमिकता हमारे मूल्यवान ग्राहकों को सुरक्षित तरीके से उन्हें उनके घर पहुंचना है। बड़े पैमाने पर रिफंड जारी किए जा रहे हैं। यह रोजना किया जा रहा है। हवाई अड्डों पर फंसे अधिकतर लगेज यात्रियों के घर पहुंचाए जा रहे हैं। बचे हुए बैग्स भी जल्द ही ग्राहकों के घर तक पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया जारी है।

इंडिगो के लिए वर्तमान संकट अचानक नहीं आया, लेकिन बीते तीन-चार दिनों में इसमें बेतहाशा वृद्धि हुई। सबसे ज्यादा असर एयरलाइन की यूएसपी यानी ‘ऑन-टाइम परफॉर्मेंस’ (ओटीपी) पर पड़ा है। इससे जुड़े आंकड़े चौकाने वाले हैं। वित्तीय वर्ष 2025 में एयरलाइन ने 73.8% की ओटीपी हासिल की थी।

1 दिसंबर को ओटीपी गिरकर 50% पर आ गई। 2 दिसंबर को यह और गिरकर 35% पर पहुंच गई। 3 दिसंबर को हालात और खराब हो गए और ओटीपी 19.7% रह गई। 4 दिसंबर को एयरलाइन का सिस्टम पूरी तरह चरमरा गया और ओटीपी ऐतिहासिक निचले स्तर 8.5% पर आ गई। जानकारों के अनुसार, मुख्य कारण नए एफडीटीएल (फ्लाइट ड्यूटी टाइम लिमिटेशन) नियमों के दूसरे चरण का लागू होना और उसके बाद क्रू (पायलट और केबिन स्टाफ) की गंभीर कमी है।
